Digital Sovereignty at the Heart of the Discussions. The Francophonie in the Spotlight.

From October 13 to 16, 2026, MTL connect: Montreal Digital Week will bring together digital industry leaders, organizations, companies, institutions, and decision-makers to collectively reflect on the major issues shaping our societies.

For its 8th edition, the event will put the Francophonie in the spotlight, creating a unique space for dialogue between the digital ecosystems of the Americas, Africa, Europe, and other French-speaking regions around a central theme: digital sovereignty.

Why Digital Sovereignty?

As technologies transform our economies, institutions, and ways of life, issues related to digital governance have become unavoidable.

How can we develop technologies that address the realities of different regions? How can we strengthen our collective capacity to understand, choose, and govern digital tools? How can we foster innovation that respects the languages, cultures, data, and interests of communities?

At MTL connect 2026, these issues will be addressed through a multidisciplinary program bringing together experts from various sectors and backgrounds.

A Francophonie That Builds Bridges

By highlighting the Francophonie, MTL connecte reaffirms its commitment to strengthening ties among Francophone digital ecosystems.

The diversity of perspectives, expertise, and realities represented offers a unique opportunity to develop international collaborations, share knowledge, and foster joint projects that address digital challenges.
