MTL Connecte - La semaine numérique

France in the spotlight

A celebration of French innovation

France, guest of honor
at MTL connect 2024

Printemps numérique is proud to announce that France will be the guest of honor at the 6th edition of MTL connect: Montreal Digital Week. This decision was motivated by the relationships forged over the years with various institutions and players in the French digital sector.

As part of this year’s event, Printemps numérique is delighted to announce its collaboration with the Centre Jacques Cartier, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. This will be a unique opportunity to connect the ecosystems of the two territories and strengthen the already solid ties between the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Quebec.

So why France?

Celebrating French innovation and strengthening the spirit of international collaboration

The PN aims to promote French innovation, creativity and expertise, while strengthening the valuable cultural ties between the two territories. The 2024 edition will be an opportunity to continue the partnership with the French Consulate in Quebec City, and to highlight important issues within the French-speaking world, such as the discoverability of French-language cultural content.

Continue to forge links and facilitate the development of new collaborations

Among the close ties forged with France, the PN highlights, by way of example, the special relationship built with the Nantes ecosystem, which has seen the signing of several agreements, the completion of numerous projects, the production of a manifesto on desirable digital technology and the promotion of a joint declaration for ethical AI.

Encouraging cross-views on common issues

MTL connect will continue to be a platform for cross-views, fostering fruitful exchanges between representatives and elected officials from Quebec and France, such as those that took place with Le Havre, Chambéry, Rennes and the Grand-Est region in previous editions.

Encouraging exchanges between experts

It will also be an opportunity to encourage stimulating exchanges such as those held between the directors of the Paris and Montreal AI centers of expertise on the future of artificial intelligence, strengthening ties between France and Quebec in the field of technology.
