"Invaluable contribution
to the development and promotion of Montreal’s digital creativity"

I am thrilled to see that MTL connect and Montreal Digital Spring (Printemps numérique) are weathering the current pandemic, and that they were able to adapt in order to organize the fully digital 2020 edition.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate the organizers for carrying on the digital transformation through this internationally acclaimed event, which showcases our metropolis and its significant ecosystem.

I would also like to thank them for their invaluable contribution to the development and promotion of Montréal’s digital creativity, and for encouraging both local and foreign producers and broadcasters.

I wish all participants a plethora of fruitful exchanges regarding major current topics, such as the future of work, healthcare and education.

These past few months have shown us that digital technology can become a staple of our daily lives, and that it also offers an entire new path to art. In this respect, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to the organizers for including the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA2020) in this year’s programming.

Montréal is firmly committed to the cultural and digital industry, fostering various partnerships, as well as the Montreal Digital Spring, in order to stimulate the growth of these economic sectors that are so essential to our future.

In conclusion, I would like to thank the French consulate in Québec, and Le Monde newspaper for their partnership in the 2020 edition.
