Take part in MTL connect for free with the Youth Ambassadors QC delegation

Montreal, July 11, 2023 – On the occasion of MTL connect: Montreal Digital Week, to be held from October 10 to 13, 2023, Montreal Digital Spring (PN) is offering 50 young entrepreneurs the opportunity to take part in the event free of charge as Young Ambassadors.

Through this initiative, Montreal Digital Spring aims to promote entrepreneurial development and encourage the participation of young professionals interested in getting involved in thinking about the impact of digital technology on our societies and the economic development of our territories.

What is the Youth Ambassadors Delegation QC?

An initiative aimed at entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35, from different regions of Quebec, interested in sharing their knowledge and consolidating their expertise in digital transformation;

An opportunity to connect with ecosystem players from Quebec and beyond. In 2022, over 2,300 young people from 58 countries participated in the program.

Full pass ($499 value) will be provided to the first 50 people meeting the eligibility criteria!

  • 4 days of in-person activities, including: 

– 1 day of presentations: MTL connect Showcase + MTL Tech awards (October 10);

– 2 days of conferences, panels and workshops (October 11 and 12);

– 1 day of techno-cultural visits to Montreal or techno-industrial visits to Mont-Tremblant (October 13);

  • Connect with delegations, partners and speakers;
  • And much more!

Profiles required :

  • Aged between 18 and 35
  • Residing in Quebec
  • Being an active entrepreneur or in the startup phase
  • Interest in digital technologies, AI-related technologies, cybersecurity, cultural and creative industries, mobility, healthcare, energy efficiency or agritech;
  • Available from October 10 to 13 (arrival October 9) to actively participate in MTL connect activities at the Montreal NAD School;
  • Participate in promoting the event before and after*

*Several ambassadors will be asked to engage with the Montreal digital spring social networks during the event (e.g., testimonials, interviews with speakers, etc.)

Extra benefit for 15 candidates!

Thanks to the support from the Les offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ), 15 candidates residing 60 KM or more from Montreal have the chance to receive additional benefits :

  • Financial support for your transportation;
  • Accommodation from October 9 to 13, 2023 (including 5 nights, in a single room, with breakfast);
  • Civil liability insurance coverage.

Candidates interested in LOJIQ’s offer must attest that they meet the following criteria: Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, or a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) with a valid work permit, as well as a valid Carte d’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).

About Youth QC 2030
The Youth QC 2030 project, supported by Youth Secretariat of Quebec, aims to help establish equal opportunities for young people aged 13 to 29 by supporting the development of digital literacy skills, and thus reduce the digital divide observed between different types of populations. This project is presented by Hydro-Québec.
