Opening Keynote with Hugues Bersini
Hugues Bersini, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and Professor at the Faculté Polytechnique and the Solvay Business School, will open the 6th edition with a keynote lecture. FARI‘s senior advisor, a renowned specialist in bioinformatics, cognitive sciences and complex systems, will explore the repercussions of artificial intelligence on sectors such as creativity and education.
A member of the Académie Royale de Belgique, Hugues has over 300 scientific publications and 14 books to his credit, including one of his books “Chatgpt: Once upon a time, regressive ia”.
Keynote Education and Digital inclusion – Yannig Raffenel
Yannig Raffenel, expert in digital learning strategy and President of EdTech France, will host the major conference on Education and Digital Inclusion.
With 30 years’ experience in digital innovation for training and education, he will detail how AI can enrich educational practices and open up new perspectives for personalizing learning.
As coordinator of innovative and complex projects in the field of training, Yannig will share his knowledge on the need for teachers to adopt these tools in order to become augmented trainers, while preserving the importance of human interaction.
Panel AI & Creative industries – NAD-UQAC SCHOOL
Organized by the NAD-UQAC school, the panel “AI Practitioners’ Perspectives on the Future of Digital Creation and Design” will explore the revolutions of AI in the creative industries. Beyond the promises and hype, these new technologies have influences on the daily lives of designers. Crossing the perspectives of Luc Lavergne, Karoline Georges, Georges Rafie, Martine Bertrand and Daniel Lavoie, this panel will draw a current portrait through the testimonies of those who are living this revolution. Join these artists, designers and researchers in tackling AI and harnessing its full potential!

- Luc Lavergne: Design artist, former technical director at Cirque du Soleil, specialist at Stable Diffusion.
- Karoline Georges: Governor General’s Award for his book “De synthèse”, multidisciplinary artist using AI.
- Georges Rafie: Works at Felix & Paul creating immersive experiences, exploring NeRF technology.
- Daniel Lavoie: Producer with experience in software development, commercial post-production, video games, 3D animation, VFX, motion design, storytelling, and generative AI.
