Montreal, October 20, 2023 – For the 4th consecutive year, Printemps numérique orchestrated the MTL Tech awards during its annual event MTL connect. This year’s edition reached its peak on October 12 at the NAD School, during an awards ceremony filled with enthusiasm and impactful achievements.
Two days earlier, 12 finalists had the opportunity to showcase their innovative projects to a panel of experts. Their hopes and aspirations were then focused on the possibility of winning one of the 4 awards presented at this international digital innovation competition.

Through this competition, Printemps numérique is committed to promoting innovative initiatives in Montreal and on the international stage by celebrating the ideas and individuals who push the boundaries of digital innovation.

This year, 6 honorary mentions were also awarded:
- Adèle Salin-Cantegrel (SCIKOOP InC) wins the « Antidote Eloquence Mention » offered by Druide informatique;
- Mohamed M Diallo (Bioeureka) wins the « Emerging Entrepreneur Mention » offered by Les offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ);
- Ann-Louise Davidson and Concordia University with the project Makerspaces for Learning, Living, and Sharing win the « Education Axis Mention in the Youth Digital Literacy Category »
- The Société des arts technologiques with the project Digital Arts Workshops (Ages 7-17) win the « Culture Axis Mention in the Youth Digital Literacy Category »
- The Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) with the project Square Activities win the « Citizenship Mention in the Youth Digital Literacy Category »
- Finally, Génielab with the project STEAM Learning Kits win the « Printemps numérique 2023 Favourite ».
The winners were rewarded with a generous range of prizes in services and cash offered by renowned partners such as Desjardins Caisse des Technologies, the CRIM, Druide, the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, LOJIQ, the Association Edteq, Printemps numérique, eduMedia, Le Curieux, L’école branchée and Le lien Multimédia. These contributions not only honour excellence but also significantly support the momentum of impactful innovation, thereby strengthening the dynamic fabric of this ever-evolving sector.
A big thank you to the finalists for their inspiring contributions and to the jury members for their valuable expertise. With over 140 applications received this year, Printemps numérique continues to play an essential role in promoting innovative projects in Montreal and beyond. Together, we are building a vibrant and dynamic digital future.
