Artificial intelligence (AI) is booming and becoming an essential tool in all business sectors. But are we currently in a phase of opportunities or challenges in the face of the scope of this technology in our modern society? This is the question that the panel « Project Financing in Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities » will raise during the 5th edition of MTL connect, the flagship event of Printemps numérique.
This panel will aim to foster dialogue between entrepreneurs and investors to identify a win-win common ground. Join us at the Montreal School of Digital Arts (NAD) to discuss the issues of AI project financing and the opportunities that arise from it. The panel will be presented by Desjardins Caisse des Technologies and will bring together the following panelists:
- Samir Mounir, Ph.D, MBA : Expert in financing and venture capital in the fields of health and technology, with over 14 years of experience in the life sciences industry and 15 years of experience in business and healthcare financing.
- Myriam Côté, eng., Ph.D : Strategic AI consultant, facilitator, coach and speaker, with over 15 years of professional experience in AI and 10 years as Executive Director of MILA with Professor Yoshua Bengio.
- Yuri Navarro : Founder, investor and policymaker, who has worked for 15 years to support the success of early-stage tech companies and built a network of over 4,000 angel investors, venture capitalists and family offices worldwide.
- Chris Kay : General Manager of Kanata Ventures and CEO of Multiplicity, specializing in attracting the world’s best B2B founder teams to settle in Canada, and co-founder of Startup Boost, a global pre-acceleration program present in 4 countries.
- Marc-Antoine Pelletier : Serial entrepreneur, passionate about creating disruptive business models and technology, investor in CleanTech and Digital Health Tech, and President of HOP Technologies, a company that markets a digital health platform.
