Digital arts and culture
A platform that showcases creators.
MTL connect is a unique platform that showcases local and international creators through its initiatives. These demonstrate that digital art is not only a driver of innovation but also a tool for imagining and experimenting with possible futures in a rapidly changing technological world.
Through this artistic programming, MTL connect highlights creators from here and abroad and fosters a dialogue between art and technology. Because digital art is not just about new ways of creating: it also opens up spaces to imagine, experiment, and question possible futures in a world in constant transformation.

RECOMPOSED REALITIES: AI, Digital Worlds, and New Imaginaries
A section dedicated to how immersive technologies transform our perception of reality. From generated landscapes to impossible spaces, exploration of the unknown, and new forms of imagery, the works blur the boundaries between the real, the imaginary, and the artificial.
Introspection du Voyageur / Traveller’s Introspection (2025) | Québec | 9 min | Fantastic Obsolete — Pascal Lavallée, Nicolas Lachance-Brais, Killian Pichon.
A mystical being, neither man nor god, traverses a series of worlds suspended between life and memory. Guided by an instinctive quest, it glides from scene to scene in search of a forgotten harmony. Each world embodies a universal emotion, a stage of existence, or a collective archetype. The audience, immersed in these visions, becomes a witness to the Traveller’s inner metamorphosis.
Hypnos (2025)| Russia | 4 min 40 | Studio Knife.
Like a dreamlike experience, alternately colorful or darker, this film explores sensory perception and the surreal nature of dreams through richly detailed synthetic imagery.
Sous Le Ciel (2026)| France | 6 min | Jérémy Griffaud.
Inspired by Marc Chagall’s Biblical Message cycle, this fulldome work transforms the paintings into a panoramic and dreamlike world. Navigating between Eden, hospitality, and celestial spheres, hybrid beings and looping movements evoke an eternal journey through time. Created from nearly 300 watercolors, the work explores spirituality and the fluid boundaries between inner worlds and imagined landscapes.
Angel (2026)| Québec | 5 min | Sean Caruso.
«I will find you again, beyond the nights and the shattered peaks. Beyond the stars and the northern lights, I will find you again.».
“ANGEL” is a journey of love suspended between heaven and earth. A race through shadows, rooftops, and the lights of a sleeping city. We move forward, we fall, we rise—drawn by something we never quite see. A memory, a presence, perhaps a promise. And somewhere, beyond the heights, someone waits.
Program 2 (10:30 13:00 15:30 17:30)
WHAT CONNECTS US: Memory, Transmission, and Stories of the World
A more human and poetic program where immersion becomes a way of telling what connects us: to others, to previous generations, to territories, and to the sky. From intimate stories to ancestral narratives, the works use immersive space to bring memory to life in a new way.
Liminality (2018) | United Kingdom | 9 min | 4PI Productions
This work is the result of a collaboration between cultures and technologies. It offers a snapshot of the perpetual cycle of transition and transformation. Five dancers move from industrial landscapes to coastal ones, in Wales, Delhi, and Goa. The ritualized movements of dance, in a 360° immersive environment, evoke something far older than civilization. A connection with the ceaseless cycle of creation, channeled and expressed through movement.
Biosphere (2022) | Belgium | 7 min 40 | Florian Guibert
A journey through breathtaking landscapes, from arid deserts to lush jungles, through underground caves and bodies of water, up to the northern lights.
Le Canoë Céleste (2022) | Québec | 7 min | Sébastien Gauthier
The First Peoples of what is now northern Canada observed the slow rotation of a canoe in the sky, reflecting the changing seasons on earth. This celestial canoe guided them through a particularly difficult time of the year.
Program 3 (11h 13h40 16h 18h)

Destin (2023) | France | 3 min 20 | Jérémy Oury
Destin is an invitation to travel into the future of our universe by building the most beautiful and spectacular setting possible through a 360° projection: our imagination. Imagine for a moment that we had the ability to travel through space.
A small group of people, gathered here in the dome, is chosen to leave Earth and discover the destiny of our universe by embarking on a journey through nebulae and other celestial objects.
Vestigi Dome (2026) | Spain | 5 min | VPM Creative Lab.
VESTIGI explores the memory of water as a living trace: layers that accumulate, transform, and disappear, revealing the passage of time and the relationship between matter and memory.
Pale Blue Dot (2026) | Thailand (2026) | 3 min | Yellaban
The project is inspired by the Overview Effect—a psychological shift in perspective experienced by astronauts when they view Earth from space. A fragile blue dot in the vastness of space, Earth reminds us that our resources are limited, that our lives are interconnected, and that the impact of our actions extends far beyond the present. The work invites us to step back, broaden our perspective, and rethink our relationship with the only home we share.
Flicker & Gambol (2026) | Québec | 3 min 30 | Tara Rose Morris & Graham Steinman
Forward, upward. Unmask, relax, free yourself. Dance as the sun and moon pass by. Flicker and Gambol stages the cycles of trauma and healing in colour, image, and dance to the song “heal, my love” by Graham Steinman.
Program 4 (11:30 14:20 16:30 18:30)

Crux Redux (2025) | Québec | 3 min 30 | Alexandre Roy / NAD

Flight Over the Parthenon (2026)| Québec | 5 min | Shirin Abu Shakra / NAD
The first work in a triptych on contested museum objects, Flight Over the Parthenon traces the trajectory of the Parthenon frieze, extorted by Thomas Bruce, held by the British Museum and not returned for two centuries. Faced with the performativity of museum discourse, this film opposes historical facts: the documented narrative replaces the fabricated legend.
The Perfume, the Incense of Syria (2026)| Québec | 4 min 40 | Arnaud Lescure / NAD
