Biographie
Laurane Raimondo began her career at the Council of Europe, within the data protection unit, where she first worked in 2014 and again in 2016. There, she developed a strong interest in digital issues and the preservation of fundamental freedoms. From 2018 onwards, her research combined data protection, cyberspace and space law. Her work on the militarisation of outer space earned her the Military Governor of Lyon Award (2019). She later received several distinctions, including the CEFCYS Trophy for Cyber Researcher Woman of the Year (2021) and the FIC Book Award (2022) for her book *La protection des données personnelles en 100 questions-réponses* (Éditions Ellipses). Her second book, *Les fondamentaux de la gestion de crise cyber*, was published the same year. In 2024, the Académie des Bressans recognised her commitment to sharing digital knowledge by naming her one of the six personalities of the year. As head of LR Conseils & Stratégies, she supports companies and institutions on digital security and responsible artificial intelligence. She teaches at the Faculty of Law of Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, where she lectures on cybersecurity and data protection as part of the Master’s in International Relations. She is also the national head of the +5 Bachelor’s in International Relations and Cyberspace at ILERI. As an advisor to the CyberCercle for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Laurane Raimondo actively contributes to discussions on digital security and trust, and regularly speaks to diverse audiences, from the professional world to educational institutions. She has published in *Sécurité & Défense*, the *Revue française de droit aérien et spatial*, and contributed to the series *Stories of Conflict* (Arte). Today, she continues her teaching and writing activities, convinced that understanding digital technology is essential to strengthening trust in cyberspace.
