Montreal, August 17, 2023 – As part of its efforts to reduce the digital divide and more specifically address the needs of Indigenous youth and their communities, Printemps numérique is proud to launch the first cohort of Indigenous Youth Ambassadors for a Desirable Digital Future. Thus, about ten participants aged 18 to 29 will take part free of charge in MTL connect, from October 10 to 13, 2023.
Through this initiative, Printemps numérique aims to encourage the participation of young professionals interested in contributing to the reflection on the impact of digital technology on our societies and the economic development of territories.
A company tour and workshop program will be offered to them. It will allow them to explore the future possibilities offered by Quebec’s digital creative industry and express their wishes regarding the use of technologies in their communities.

The activities and exchanges will be documented. This will foster the emergence of solutions and initiatives for the sustainable development of Indigenous communities.
Since 2019, Printemps numérique and the Conseil de la Nation Atikamekw have been collaborating to implement initiatives in support of digital education for Atikamekw youth.
