MTL connect receives official recognition from the CPMT: what this means for your organization
MTL connect reaches an important milestone this year: the event is now officially recognized as a Training Event by the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT).
A recognition that fully aligns with MTL connect’s mission: to provide a space for learning, reflection, and development around the major issues of digital technology, innovation, and organizational transformation.

What this recognition means in practice
For employers subject to the Act Respecting the Development of Workforce Skills (commonly known as the “1% law”), this accreditation opens the door to tangible benefits. Your team’s participation in MTL connect can now be counted toward your recognized training expenses. Depending on the criteria applicable to your organization, eligible expenses may include:
- Participants’ salaries during the activities
- Registration fees
- Travel and accommodation costs
- Meal and childcare expenses
Rather than viewing the 1% law as an administrative obligation, turn it into a strategic lever.
At the end of the event, an official certificate of attendance will be issued to each participant, allowing you to claim these training credits with the competent authorities.
