Youth Recognition Award in Digital Literacy

Montreal, August 16, 2021 – Printemps numérique invites schools, institutions, organizations, and businesses to submit their applications for the Youth Recognition Award in Digital Literacy by September 12, to showcase projects that contribute to the development of digital skills among young Quebecers.

A jury of professionals will select the 3 most outstanding projects from the past year (since September 2020) in the fields of EDUCATION, CITIZENSHIP, and CULTURE. Participants have the chance to win prizes ranging from $500 to $3,000, which will be awarded during a ceremony at MTL connect: Montreal’s Digital Week taking place from October 12 to 17.

By submitting your application, you’re already a winner!

1. Receive a free Full Access pass to MTL connect as soon as you submit your application;
2. Get 5 additional Full Access passes to invite colleagues
   or partners;
3. Showcase your project to the 12,000 participants at MTL connect;
4. Create business and collaboration opportunities at the local and international levels;
5. Connect with potential clients, as well as with
   leaders and digital enthusiasts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Work, among other things, with a youth audience;
• Present a digital literacy project in one of the following sectors: education, citizenship, or culture.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Applications received will be reviewed by a panel of experts based on the following criteria:

• Demonstrate the originality of the project;
• Demonstrate the quality of the achievements;
• Demonstrate the impact of the projects;
• Demonstrate solutions for reaching youth during the pandemic.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Complete the application form and send a representative photo of the project to [email protected] by September 12, 2021, at midnight (EST)
• Award ceremony live on the main stage during MTL connect, taking place from October 12 to 17, 2021 (date to be confirmed)
