This year again, the theme of artificial intelligence will be addressed from a techno-critical perspective at MTL connect. Join us for the 5th anniversary edition, from October 10 to 13, 2023, at the NAD School in Montreal and online.
At the heart of Printemps numérique’s concerns since its creation, artificial intelligence, now more than ever, raises many questions. Indeed, the influence of AI is undeniably growing in our contemporary society. From autonomous cars to early cancer detection, virtual assistants, and online content recommendations, AI has the potential to bring immense benefits to humanity by improving efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in many fields. However, the rise of generative AI raises a multitude of essential questions that spark passionate debates, here and around the world.
The varied program of this edition promises to offer stimulating reflections, carried by sometimes converging, sometimes complementary viewpoints. In addition to the already announced discussion between Yoshua Bengio (IVADO) and Marc-Antoine Dilhac (Université de Montréal) on the potential benefits and risks of AI systems, here is a preview of the must-see activities:
Workshop on mobilizing collective intelligence to guide the evolution of AI in education by Philippe Longchamps
