🌟 Mamo / Mamu – Young Indigenous Ambassadors at the Heart of Change 🌿
Kwei!, Kuei! As part of its efforts to bridge the digital divide and address the specific needs of Indigenous youth and their communities, Printemps numérique is proud to launch the second cohort of Young Indigenous Ambassadors for a desirable digital future, in a brand-new concept:
Mamo-Mamu (meaning TOGETHER in the Atikamekw and Innu languages).
To represent Indigenous nations of Quebec, about a dozen participants aged 18 to 35 will take part for free in MTL connect, from October 15 to 18, 2024.
Since 2019, Printemps numérique has been collaborating with Indigenous organizations to implement initiatives in support of digital education for youth.
Discover an overview of the organizations, as well as the partners that will contribute to the experience of the young ambassadors at MTL connect:
Conseil de la Nation Atikamekw
Réseau jeunesse des Premières Nations Québec-Labrador
Festival International Présence Autochtone
Unreliable Narrators Games (creators of the game TWO FALLS)

With the continued support of our collaborators from the first edition, we are pleased to introduce our new major partner IVADO; an interdisciplinary and intersectoral research consortium in AI.
« As a partner of the collective Mamo/Mamu project, IVADO is proud to contribute to an initiative that highlights concrete solutions to promote Indigenous cultures. When used responsibly, artificial intelligence allows us to explore new avenues and provide innovative answers to many challenges faced by Indigenous communities » – Réjean Roy, Director of Training and Knowledge Mobilization, IVADO
