Biographie
Yannick B. Gélinas has been a videographer and multimedia artist for over 20 years, winning a Gémeau award for Best Cultural Documentary in 2013 with ‘From Montréal’. Over the years, she has directed various author-driven projects in digital creation, as well as web video projects for the NFB, the Conseil des arts de Montréal, Fortier Danse création, the City of Montréal, and the Fablabs movement. Involved in her community, she has served on the boards of cultural organizations such as Agence Topo and ARRQ (Association des Réalisateurs et Réalisatrices du Québec). Since its founding in 2017, Yannick B. Gélinas has been a member of the Montréal numérique Commission of Culture Montréal, whose mandate is to unite the driving forces of digital art and creativity to ensure the development of the sector and its international reach. Within the Commission, she chairs the Creation Committee, which aims to develop structuring initiatives that foster a genuine encounter between the creative industries and the digital arts community. The fundamental concern of this committee is to listen to the needs and aspirations of digital artists.
