Biographie
Sophie Fallaha is an accomplished business leader, passionate about innovation, sustainability, and responsible AI. She is currently the Executive Director of the Montreal International Centre of Expertise in Artificial Intelligence (CEIMIA), a leading international NGO specializing in the development and implementation of high-impact projects in the field of responsible AI. Sophie has over 15 years of experience in innovation, bridging the gap between research and practice in multi-stakeholder environments, having worked with multinational corporations, governments, and non-profit organizations. Her expertise lies in developing and implementing sustainable business strategies that generate social, environmental, and economic value in the field of responsible AI.
Prior to her current role as Executive Director of CEIMIA, she served as General Director of the International Reference Centre for Life Cycle Analysis and Sustainable Transition (CIRAIG), an international centre of expertise bringing together four universities in Canada and Switzerland. At CIRAIG, Sophie led a significant team and directed the development and execution of sustainability measures in partnership with a diverse set of stakeholders. Additionally, she successfully oversaw the securing of two long-term research-industry collaborations, each benefiting from significant funding. These partnerships involved leaders from various industries renowned for their commitment to sustainability.
