Biographie
Paul Hirschson grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree (accounting and law) and a master’s degree (business). Upon returning to Israel, Paul entered the high-tech sector, where he developed business relationships in Arab countries, Europe, Africa, and Malaysia. Paul spent ten years in Israel’s high-tech sector, where he closed deals totalling tens of millions of dollars. In 2004, Paul left the private sector to join Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, becoming the first Israeli diplomat posted to the United Arab Emirates. In 2019, Ambassador Hirschson took charge of Israel’s relations with the Caribbean countries. He has been appointed Israel’s next Consul General to Quebec and the Atlantic provinces and will be based in Montreal, Canada, in the summer of 2021.
