Biographie
Dr. Olivier Beauchet is a clinician-researcher and geriatric neurologist. He is a Full Professor at Université de Montréal (Faculty of Medicine – Department of Medicine), a physician at the Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal (IUGM), and Director of the AgeTeQ laboratory at the IUGM Research Centre. He also holds a research chair in creative economy from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture.
For many years, Dr. Olivier Beauchet has been studying the relationship between the arts, culture, and health (mental, physical, social) in order to implement concrete actions for individuals, population groups, and institutions. Over the past years, Dr. Beauchet has been able to establish an ecosystem bringing together health sciences, the arts, and new information and communication technologies, focusing on the effects of visual arts on health. This ecosystem has been particularly active over the past decade in Quebec.
