Biographie
Marie Anne Bérard is a Montreal-based composer and keyboardist. Her practice focuses on electroacoustic performance, sound installation, and the use of sound journaling as a compositional method. With financial support from the Interdisciplinary Observatory for Creation and Research in Music (OICRM) and the Observatory of Cultural Mediations (OMEC), she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sound creation to study the effects of mediating electroacoustic music with elderly individuals on her creative process. She has been assisting with the direction of Festival Akousma since 2024.
