Biographie
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from Harvard University, Luc Sirois is a recognized leader and entrepreneur, in Quebec and worldwide, for his creative approach to innovation and his involvement in digital technology in Quebec, investing in numerous startups and non-profit organizations focused on youth, health, science, and education. He co-founded the health innovation movement Hacking Health as well as a digital health accelerator and seed fund. He is the co-founder of Resonant Medical, now Elekta Canada, a cutting-edge company in radiation oncology. He has also served as Vice President at TELUS Health, Telesystem, and Nightingale in connected health, and as a manager in strategic consulting at McKinsey & Company in the Montreal, Toronto, Zurich, and Paris offices. Until recently, he was the General Manager of Prompt, an organization that facilitates the creation of R&D partnerships between businesses and the public research sector to improve Quebec’s competitiveness in the ICT market. In August 2020, he was appointed Strategic Advisor to the Quebec Minister of Economy and Innovation to pilot the new model for valorizing public research and oversee the implementation of this structure, which will provide services to all stakeholders in this field in Quebec. In December 2020, he was appointed Chief Innovator of Quebec and General Manager of the newly created Quebec Innovation Council.
