Biographie
Laurie Garrow is a professor of civil engineering and co-director of the Center for Urban and Regional Air Mobility at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia (United States). She is an expert in air traveler behavior and discrete choice modeling. She has received several awards, including the prestigious ASCE Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize, “for the development and integration of advanced discrete choice models of traveler behavior in decision support systems for planning, scheduling, and revenue management for airlines.” She is currently president of AGIFORS, a professional organization dedicated to the development and application of operations research solutions for aviation. She is the first woman and the first person to serve a second term as president in AGIFORS’ 60-year history. As co-director of CURAM, she has been interviewed by several media outlets, including USA Today, the LA Times, Bloomberg, and NPR Radio.
