Biographie
Laurent Guérin is an expert in innovation and content strategy. While he was a student in the MBA Commerce and Management program in San Francisco, he developed a passion for an emerging technology called the Internet. This passion never left him, and he became a pioneer in online video content. In 1999, he participated in the creation of nouvo.com, a web television platform in France. He then became involved in video-on-demand services and co-produced Detective Avenue, a visionary convergent project. In 2013, he moved to Toronto to join TFO, where he became Vice President, Head of Content and Digital. He played a key role in TFO’s digital success, propelling the group’s YouTube channels past the one billion view mark. His curiosity and sense of innovation naturally led him to blockchain technology and the entire Web 3.0 ecosystem. In 2021, he founded Active Content and has since supported his clients in their innovation and development strategies. Laurent frequently serves on juries for the Canada Media Fund (CMF) innovation and marketing programs and collaborates with the Quebec Video Game Guild.
