Biographie
Kory Mathewson is a research scientist at DeepMind and a lab scientist at the Creative Destruction Lab. Kory holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Alberta, obtained at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute. His research aims to understand the interaction between humans and machines, particularly conversational dialogue systems and human-robot interfaces.
Kory has completed internships at Twitter Cortex, Google Brain Magenta, and Apple Special Projects Group. Before his PhD, he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering.
Kory is also an accomplished improvisational theatre artist with Rapid Fire Theatre. He combines his fields of interest by designing artificial intelligences with which he performs on stage.
