Biographie
Isabelle Dessureault has been the delegate of the Bureau du Québec in Barcelona since July 2019. In this role, she contributes to the promotion of Québec in Spain, Portugal, and Andorra. Together with her team, she works to advance Québec businesses, organizations, and creators in the Iberian Peninsula.
Before her appointment at the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie, Isabelle Dessureault worked for 25 years as a manager and leader in the private sector, with major Québec companies: as a partner at NATIONAL Public Relations, Canada’s largest public relations firm; as Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Content Marketing, and President of the MAtv channel at Vidétron, Québec’s largest telecommunications company; and as Head of Strategy and Innovation at Groupe Sélection, a Canadian leader in real estate development.
In 2018, before arriving in Barcelona, she spent a year in India as a mentor and angel investor supporting women entrepreneurs in technology at the Zone Startups accelerator in Mumbai.
Isabelle Dessureault holds an MBA from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University and a diploma in international business from the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam. She has served on numerous boards of directors and advisory committees, including those of the John Molson School of Business and the multidisciplinary theatre Usine C. She was a member of Anges Québec. Since June 2020, she has been the sponsor of the vast Mouvement Ensemble Inc, which aims to promote diversity and inclusion in the Québec business community.
