Biographie
Chief Librarian Frédérique Joannic-Seta has been Director of the Metadata Department at the Bibliothèque nationale de France since July 2016: in this capacity, she co-leads the national Bibliographic Transition programme and the “National Entity File” project. The Metadata Department also fulfils the functions of the national bibliographic agency for France: it notably includes an ISNI registration agency, the national ISSN centre and the national Rameau centre (French subject indexing thesaurus).
Frédérique Joannic-Seta previously contributed to the implementation of the Catalogue collectif de France and headed the service in charge of Gallica within the BnF’s cooperation department, before joining the Bibliothèque de documentation internationale contemporaine as Deputy Director.
