Biography
Frances Adair Mckenzie (born in 100 Mile House, Canada; lives in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montréal, Canada) works with a feminist and experimental approach. Her practice revolves around a constant exploration of form, staging, and materiality. Her baroque and sensitive imaginaries draw from digital and immersive technologies—stereoscopic animations in virtual reality, augmented reality installations—highlighting their capacity to resist commercialisation and their power to spread into the real world to propose embodied fictions.
