Biographie
Passionate about Precision Agriculture, Faissal SEHBAOUI is an applied mathematics engineer and currently holds the position of General Manager of a subsidiary of the OCP Group, of which he is the founder, called AgriEdge, operating in precision agriculture.
He began his career in the banking sector before joining the OCP Group as Big Data Manager.
In 2020, as part of an intrapreneurial program launched by the CEO of the OCP Group, he founded a subsidiary whose mission is to develop digital services enabling farmers to sustainably improve their yields. These services rely on data, artificial intelligence and agronomic expertise to assist farmers in their daily decision-making process.
Among these services are recommendations for fertilizer quantities to apply using satellite imagery, a precision irrigation service via sensors and satellite images, and prediction and estimation of agricultural yields through drone and satellite imagery.
He is preparing a thesis at École Polytechnique and Mohammed 6 Polytechnic University, titled “Optimization of Processes in an Uncertain Environment with an Application to Precision Agriculture”.
