Biographie
As Head of Digital Collection Dissemination Projects, Cindy Veilleux has been helping transform access to the MAC’s collections through impactful digital initiatives since 2015. Over the years, she has been involved in various specialized committees on semantic web, open data, and cultural digital issues, actively contributing to the evolution of sector practices. She has worked on major digitization and data centralization projects, as well as flagship initiatives such as the online collections, the virtual exhibition Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything, and the MACrépertoire, a research tool that opens new doors to the Museum’s works and resources. From 2006 to 2014, she held various roles at the Société des musées du Québec, where she notably coordinated the first General States of Quebec Museums (2009–2011) and contributed to several communication projects. She also participated in developing the New Media Collection Cataloguing Guide as part of the DOCAM Research Alliance between 2005 and 2010.
