Biographie
Ayse is Lead Counsel within Deloitte Legal Canada S.E.N.C.R.L./s.r.l. (DLC)’s data privacy and cybersecurity practice, where she advises businesses across various sectors on cybersecurity incident response and compliance with Canadian and Quebec privacy legislation. Before joining DLC, Ayse was notably Lead Counsel at a global law firm, where she gained extensive experience in cybersecurity. She has acted as counsel and breach coach in numerous incidents, provided legal advice and assistance to companies to help them meet their incident notification obligations, and managed the services of various vendors and technical experts retained for ransomware advisory, investigations, and data recovery, as needed. She has regularly advised clients on multi-jurisdictional cyber incidents involving the application of Canadian and Quebec data protection laws and coordinated the regulatory notification of these incidents in multiple countries. Ayse has also advised numerous insurers on cybersecurity matters, providing advice on cyber risk insurance coverage and overseeing the management of hundreds of cyber incidents, including in the context of several privacy class actions.
A seasoned writer and speaker on privacy and cybersecurity issues, Ayse is co-chair of the Montreal chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Ayse was recently recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada in the fields of privacy and data security law.
