Biographie
I am a soulpreneur, founder of several higher education institutions and of Women In Entrepreneurship, a global non-profit organization, as well as co-founder of HER Digital Academy, an international school that teaches women the skills they need to land the career of their dreams in the tech sector.
I am passionate about innovation in the way education is delivered and about promoting access to digital skills that drive the future of work, and my mission is to create world-class learning experiences that help women.
I currently live in Canada with my husband and two children, but I grew up in the former Yugoslavia during the civil war. Experiencing these upheavals at a very young age taught me the fragility of society and how education can change a life in the face of adversity. Education was the key to my emancipation. I also broke the cycle of poverty that my mother and I experienced as refugees, and I built a successful career in a profession I love, which, moreover, allows me to help other women.
Throughout my career, I have combined my passion for higher education, innovation, and diversity and inclusion. Today, recognized as a global leader in these fields, I regularly give conferences internationally; I am featured in the 2021 Most Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs & Business Leaders ranking by Canadian SME Magazine and am the recipient of the Access, Equity & Human Rights Award from the City of Toronto.
