Biographie
After earning a master’s degree in psychology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Alain quickly turned to supporting and training innovative entrepreneurs.
He worked as a consultant and deputy director for several organisations linked to the European Commission, focusing on promoting innovation. In 1998, he founded his own company to organise international and scientific conferences. In this context, in 2009, he became the founder and general director of Stereopsia – World Immersion Forum, an international event dedicated to immersive technologies and content (XR). From 2018, he created a community of XR professionals within the XR4ALL project, funded by the European Commission. In May 2021, he launched XR4Europe with 10 European clusters and became its Managing Director. The association now has 1,250 members from 60 countries. Alain left his operational roles in 2023 and is now working on innovation projects related to immersive technologies.
