MTL connect 2025: Creation of a committee of leaders from the Moroccan diaspora in Canada
As part of the tribute to the Kingdom of Morocco during the 2025 edition of MTL connect: Montreal’s Digital Week, a Committee of Moroccan Digital and Innovation Actors was officially launched on July 4th.
This committee’s mission is to support programming, foster economic exchanges, and stimulate structural collaborations between Morocco, Quebec, and Canada. It aims to highlight the richness of Morocco’s innovation ecosystem as well as the talents of the Moroccan diaspora settled in Canada.
A unifying honorary president
Ms. Souad Elmallem, President and CEO of 6temik, a seasoned entrepreneur, committed investor, and corporate director, has unanimously accepted the role of honorary president of the committee. A visionary deeply committed to inclusion, she embodies an inspiring and unifying figure to lead this ambitious initiative.
A composition reflecting diversity and talent
The committee, coordinated by Mr. Abdellah Ameur, co-founder of Label Atlas Inc. and a consultant in digital transformation and change management, brings together influential leaders from the Moroccan diaspora across various sectors:

A living bridge between Canada and Morocco
This committee represents a strategic lever to strengthen synergies between the Moroccan and Canadian innovation ecosystems. It will work to showcase Moroccan expertise in key sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, financial technologies, medtech, sustainable development, and many other forward-looking fields. The tribute to Morocco at MTL connect 2025 promises to be a pivotal moment in economic diplomacy, collaborative innovation, and the creation of lasting bridges between private, academic, and community stakeholders in Quebec/Canada and Morocco.
