An opportunity for young entrepreneurs, professionals and students from developing countries
For the second consecutive year, Printemps numérique is offering the accessibility program « Explore MTL connect », a program aimed at young entrepreneurs, professionals and students from developing countries interested in strengthening their knowledge of digital transformation.
« Explore MTL connect was designed to promote digital inclusion, an issue that Printemps numérique holds dear and whose impact can be significant in terms of economic development, » states Mehdi Benboubakeur, General Director of Printemps numérique. In 2020, over 240 young people aged between 18 and 35 registered for the accessibility program. From diverse backgrounds, they came from: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Haiti, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Togo, and Tunisia ».
In 2021, Printemps numérique wishes to increase this presence by allowing 500 young professionals to participate free of charge in the many online activities that will take place during MTL connect, Montreal’s Digital Week.
This will be an opportunity for them to equip themselves, learn about current digital issues, receive advice from experts in various sectors, meet many participants from around the world and develop new collaborations.
This year, an “Explore MTL connect” path will be offered to participants of the accessibility program with a selection of conferences, discussion panels and workshops.
“Digital technology is an important driver of development, both socially and economically. Through the accessibility program, we want to strengthen North-South exchanges and collaborations. This program will be a source of opportunities for young experts and entrepreneurs from different sectors who wish to establish ties with Quebec. This will facilitate the transfer of expertise on both sides and the development of new potential partnerships.”

The accessibility program « Explore MTL connect » is an opportunity for students, young professionals and entrepreneurs from developing countries to strengthen their knowledge of digital transformation, develop their business network, discover technological innovations, and participate in workshops and other activities offered by the 2021 edition of MTL connect: Montreal’s Digital Week in a hybrid format, from October 12 to 17.
Participants in the « Explore MTL connect » program will also benefit from the Young Entrepreneur Path with suggestions for conferences, discussion panels, workshops and other activities tailored to their needs.
If you are a national of a developing country, fill out the registration form and take the chance to be admitted to the « Explore MTL connect » Program.

Eligibility criteria:
The masculine generic is used without discrimination and solely for the purpose of lightening the text.
- Be aged between 18-35 years
- Be an entrepreneur, student or researcher
- Have an interest in digital technology
- Be a national of a developing country (from Asia, Africa, Latin America or the Caribbean).
The Explore MTL connect Accessibility Program is made possible thanks to the support of its main partner, the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie and thanks to the support of the City of Montreal in mobilizing young people from French-speaking countries.
