Biographie
Timothy Thomasson is an emerging digital artist and researcher based in Montreal. His work examines how moving images are produced and consumed in historical and contemporary contexts. He primarily works with computer animation and uses real-time technologies in several of his works to create continuously generative environments and systems. Thomasson holds a BFA and is expected to complete an MDes (2021) in Design and Computation Arts from Concordia University. His works have been presented in various venues and festivals in Montreal, including Nuit blanche (2018), Montreal, arts interculturels [MAI] (2018), MUTEK_IMG at Centre Phi (2018), Société des arts technologiques [SAT] (2019), Anteism (2021), Eastern Bloc Sight and Sound (2021), MUTEK (2021), and ELEKTRA (2022, to be confirmed).
