Biographie
After training at an engineering school in Nantes (ENSM), a master’s degree in science from the École Normale Supérieure (E.N.S.) in Cachan, a PhD at the LAN laboratory on automatic monitoring of the machining process, and an HDR, he is a tenured professor at the University of Nantes and a researcher at the LS2N laboratory. A visiting professor at Polytechnique Montréal in 2002 and at Beihang University in China in 2015, he has developed the following research themes: manufacturing robotics, composite machining, production process monitoring, intelligent machining, robotics and cobotics, large-scale additive manufacturing and 3D printing, 3D printing for construction…
He has supervised 17 PhD students and 42 master’s students. He has approximately 27 years of experience in collaborative research programs. He is currently involved in the European projects COROMA and RODEO, the ANR Smart Emma project, and the BATIPRINT3D project. He is the author or co-author of 55 articles in international journals, 120 oral presentations at international conferences, and 8 patents. He is the innovation advisor to the President of the University of Nantes on the theme of the Industry of the Future.
He is the co-founder of the startup Batiprint3D, which specializes in developing robotic solutions for 3D printing, construction, and renovation of houses or collective housing.
