Biographie
Julien Gossé is a PhD researcher at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management – Université Libre de Bruxelles since 2018. Passionate about topics related to digitalisation and sustainability, he is particularly interested in issues at the intersection of these two major challenges. Since the beginning of 2022, Julien has joined the Brussels-based institute FARI, which conducts research and innovation projects to harness AI for the common good. In this context, he is in charge of one of the institute’s 4 pilot projects aimed at developing an AI strategy for the Brussels-Capital Region and its administrations. In summary, this project aims to define key objectives to be achieved with AI and a list of use cases that can be implemented in the short to medium term. Beyond defining objectives and use cases for the Region, the project’s goal is also to provide the Brussels government with key recommendations on the technical, human, and organisational skills to be developed for the implementation of this strategy. Before joining ULB as a researcher and starting his PhD in 2018, Julien obtained a Master’s degree in Management Engineering specialising in Sustainable Development in 2015 from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and worked for 3 years in the private sector, including as a digital transformation consultant at Deloitte.
