Biographie
Jeremy Clark is an Associate Professor at the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering. He holds the NSERC–Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton–Catallaxy Industrial Research Chair in Blockchain Technologies. He earned his PhD from the University of Waterloo, where he received a gold medal for his thesis on the design and deployment of secure voting systems such as Scantegrity – the first cryptographically verifiable system used in a public sector election. He wrote one of the first academic papers on cryptocurrency, conducted several research projects in this field, and contributed to the first textbook on the subject. He has also worked with several municipalities as a voting technology expert and presented statements on Bitcoin to a Senate committee and the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance in Canada.
