Biographie
An architect and engineer, Eric Cassar is the founder of ARKHENSPACES, an architecture, urban planning and design firm established in 2005 in Paris and focused on the research, design and construction of new, sustainable contemporary spaces.
He works on theoretical and practical research topics around the concept of n-spaces: connected material and virtual environments, combining physical and digital architectures. An ecological, social and sensitive approach to smart buildings or smart cities.
In 2010, he received the Pierre Cardin Prize awarded by the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
In 2013, he completed « Pour une ar(t)chitecture subtile », published in late 2016 by HYX editions.
In 2017, he received the European Grand Prize for Innovation « Le Monde – Smart-cities » for Habiter l’infini, a new housing concept for the digital age.
In 2019, he completed Travailler en c(h)oeur, focused on digital-era workspaces. He regularly writes for the magazine Chroniques d’architectures.
