MTL connect 2026 unveils its first Speakers
From October 13 to 16, 2026, MTL connect will bring together committed voices in Montreal to reflect on the major challenges of our digital future. Under the theme of Sovereignty, this new edition will open a space for dialogue on our collective ability to understand, master, and steer the technologies that are transforming our societies.
The MTL connect 2026 program is beginning to take shape.
This year, Montreal’s Printemps numérique will explore sovereignty in the digital age: data sovereignty, technological infrastructures, artificial intelligence, culture, organizations, territories, and collective intelligence. All of these issues raise the same question: how can we regain control over the tools, systems, and decisions that shape our digital future?
Through its programming, MTL connect will offer conferences, meetings, and spaces for reflection to better understand these transformations, cross-examine expertise, and foster collaboration between the worlds of innovation, research, business, culture, institutions, and civil society.
An opening conference on digital sovereignty
Among the first confirmed Speakers, Paul Allard, President and Co-founder of Données Souveraines Québec, will open the program with the conference:
Digital Sovereignty: Regaining Control of Our Future
Who truly owns our data, our digital infrastructures, and our artificial intelligence? This opening conference will address the necessary conditions to strengthen our collective capacity for action in the face of major technological transformations.
Paul Allard will notably present the findings of the first assessment of digital sovereignty in Quebec, as well as the roadmap of Données Souveraines Québec, developed with over 35 experts. This keynote will set the tone for an edition focused on understanding, responsibility, and action.
Understanding the issues, building bridges, fostering collaboration
MTL connect is more than just a conference event. It is an international platform for meetings, reflection, networking, and collaboration around the major challenges of digital transformation.
