COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE is the ability of a group to solve complex problems through the interactions between the individuals that make it up and the synergies that result. Each individual possesses a part of the knowledge, know-how, and solution. With digital technology, billions of individuals are interconnected at every moment, like billions of synapses of a single entity. The 2022 edition of MTL connect, with the main theme, ECO(Systems) of Hope, invited us to imagine a desirable digital future for the world of tomorrow. For this hope to become a reality, it must necessarily be accompanied by concrete actions and, above all, collective ones. That is why, in 2023, MTL connect continues to explore the desirable digital with the aim of bringing together ideas, individuals, and organizations; and placing them at the heart of change.
COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE will help contribute to the transfer of expertise between different ecosystems, to cross-fertilization of knowledge, and to the international influence of the various forms of digital innovation in the Montreal metropolitan area.
2023 PROGRAMMING
The main theme will be explored through the following 4 themes:
How can we leverage different areas of expertise so that AI can solve complex problems and improve community life? In the current context where generative AI is taking up more and more space in our lives, can it combine ethics and omniscience?
