MTL connect: benefit from a special rate thanks to LOJIQ!

Project description

LOJIQ — Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec, in collaboration with Printemps numérique, wish to facilitate the participation of young digital and digital arts professionals in the virtual edition of MTL connect: Montreal’s Digital Week and ISEA2020, the 26th International Symposium on Electronic Art.

Participant profile

Eligibility criteria
– Be between 18 and 35 years old
– Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
– Hold a valid Quebec health insurance card (RAMQ)
– Have lived in Quebec for at least one year
– Commit to attending the conferences and exchanging with other members of the virtual delegation.

All participants receiving the Canada Emergency Benefit, particularly CERB and CESB, are eligible for our support without penalty.

Desired profile
Digital and digital arts professionals: creators, artists, designers, researchers, innovators, developers, distributors, digital and technological tool specialists involved in research and the development of new thinking on the uses and impacts of digital technology in the cultural and creative industries.

Membership in the LOJIQ Foundation
If your application is accepted, you must, to benefit from LOJIQ’s support, be a member of the LOJIQ Foundation. Membership allows you to support LOJIQ’s actions for young Quebecers engaged in a mobility initiative and offers you negotiated benefits with partners.

Support offered

What is covered by LOJIQ:  

• A flat-rate allowance of $250 to cover part of the costs related to participation in MTL connect
• The participant will join a virtual delegation to support them throughout the project

Other participation conditions:

• Once selected, the participant is responsible for registering for the event at LOJIQ’s preferential rate ($75 + taxes)
  *Participation in this event counts as a LOJIQ mobility project

The application must include

• Your updated curriculum vitae
• A short letter outlining your experience, motivations and goals related to this project, as well as the benefits and outcomes you expect to gain from this experience
