At <strong data-start=\"297\" data-end=\"318\">MTL connecte 2024<\/strong>, experts and dedicated leaders came together to share real solutions and encourage a more inclusive AI ecosystem.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"769\"><strong data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"468\">Inspiring Women Leading Change<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"769\">During this meaningful discussion, <strong data-start=\"506\" data-end=\"532\">Louise Champoux-Paill\u00e9<\/strong> (Concordia University), <strong data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"575\">Cassie Rh\u00e9aume<\/strong> (TECHNOComp\u00e9tences), <strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"613\">\u00c9lodie Meyer<\/strong> (CyberLex), <strong data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"646\">Corinne Charette<\/strong> (Concordia), and <strong data-start=\"664\" data-end=\"690\">Caroline Foldes-Busque<\/strong> (SAAQ) shared their views on the challenges and opportunities for women in AI.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"925\"><strong data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"795\">An Unequal Ecosystem<\/strong><br data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"798\" \/>Even with all the tech progress, women are still underrepresented in top AI positions. The speakers highlighted key barriers:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"952\">Few female role models<\/li><li data-start=\"955\" data-end=\"983\">Ongoing gender stereotypes<\/li><li data-start=\"955\" data-end=\"983\">Unequal access to leadership opportunities<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1076\"><strong data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1076\">Ways to Build a More Inclusive AI Sector<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1078\" data-end=\"1159\">The speakers suggested several ideas to help more women succeed in AI leadership:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"1163\" data-end=\"1241\"><strong data-start=\"1163\" data-end=\"1190\">Mentorship &amp; networking<\/strong>: Support groups to help women grow their careers<\/li><li data-start=\"1244\" data-end=\"1322\"><strong data-start=\"1244\" data-end=\"1269\">Fair company policies<\/strong>: Equal pay and better chances for women to move up<\/li><li data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1401\"><strong data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1344\">More visibility<\/strong>: Showcasing women\u2019s successes in media and tech events<\/li><li data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1500\"><strong data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1428\">Education &amp; training<\/strong>: Encouraging girls to explore science and technology from a young age<\/li><\/ul><h5 data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1738\"><strong data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1522\">A Call to Action<\/strong><\/h5><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1738\">Including more women in AI shouldn\u2019t just be a conversation, it needs to be a <strong data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1619\">shared goal<\/strong>.
